The beautiful neighborhood of Silver Spur is known for its ‘Grand-views’ as the neighborhood is commonly called. Locals here savor gorgeous vistas of downtown Los Angeles, the Santa Monica and San Gabriel Mountains, and the Pacific Ocean from many homes. Kids attend Silver Spur or Montemalaga Elementary, Palos Verdes Intermediate School, and high school students choose between Palos Verdes Peninsula High School or Palos Verdes High School. Two of the schools, Silver Spur Elementary School and Palos Verdes Peninsula High School, are both walking distance from this neighborhood. Here, the locals use the elementary school playground for small children to play. Likewise, these fields are utilized for soccer practice and games. Also, the tennis courts and swimming pool at the high schools can be used when school is not in sessions.
