Redondo Beach Yacht Club
Since 1961, this classic yacht club, also located in the King Harbor Marina, is known for its family atmosphere and easy-going attitude. The club caters to both the enthusiast and the novice.
Offering yacht charters and ASA instruction, the sailing club is one of the largest in California. One may rent yachts or racing boats as well as receive top-notch instruction.
Tarzan Stand Up Boarding
Originating in the Hawaiian Islands during World War 2, Stand-Up Paddle Boarding is a fast-growing craze. Tarzan, in the marina, is a one-stop shop for rentals, lessons, or purchasing stand-up boards. The mellow waters in the marina make the spot for new learners.
The professional building at the marina’s edge is primarily wellness-focused. The premier health club, The Bay Club, is located in the building, as well as the Back and Body Center, and an aging wellness firm called Nourishing Wellness.
Enjoy a laid-back dining experience at the marina’s long-standing seafood restaurant, The Blue Water Grill. The spot is known for delightful seafood served amid nautically inspired spaces with great ocean and marina views.
The saltwater lagoon, just off the marina in Redondo Beach, is a family fun place for swimming, playing, and enjoying a sandy beach experience with lifeguard supervision. The Seaside Lagoon is a seasonal swim spot with a children’s play area, snack bar, and changing rooms.
Throughout the year, many events are held in the King Harbor Marina. The beloved Lobster Festival held at the Seaside Lagoon is fun for the whole family. The festival includes kid’s activities, live musical entertainment, and of course Maine lobster.
Another beloved event is the Endless Summer Party, in honor of the Richstone Family Center. The center has been helping families that fall victim to abuse and family violence for over 40 years. The annual celebration at King Harbor Marina helps raise funds for the Richstone program, while guests enjoy food and cocktails from local participating purveyors. Live music is enjoyed on the private beach during the Endless Summer event.
