Peninsula Center
The heart of Palos Verdes Peninsula is the area known as Peninsula Center. This neighborhood is uber convenient to shopping, dining, and heaps of entertainment being located between Hawthorne and Crenshaw Blvd, Hawthorne Blvd and Indian Peak Road. Here, local families and teens can nurture their avid social lives with easy access to all the Peninsula Center amenities. Likewise, from many homes, as one may easily walk to the promenade shops, movie theaters, and local farmers market.

This community is the hub of entertainment and shopping on the entire Hill. Three main shopping areas here are the Promenade on the Peninsula, the Peninsula Center, and the Town and Country Shopping Center. The Promenade on the Peninsula is a charming indoor/outdoor mall with heaps of restaurants, shops, movie theater and ice skating rink. The Promenade is even home to a few big brand shops like Pottery Barn and William Sonoma, and high-end fitness facilities like Equinox. Meanwhile, the Peninsula Shopping Center has a variety of eateries, the Bay Club and a myriad of shopping establishments. The more village-like Town and Country Shopping Center is home to the fine grocer Bristol Farms and other well-known shops like Noah’s Bagels. Furthermore, on Sunday, there is a great farmer’s market at the Peninsula Shopping Center from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Peninsula Center Library is also located here and hosts a nice story time for little ones on a regular basis.
Students in this neighborhood can often walk to schools especially those attending Soleado Elementary School and Palos Verdes Peninsula High School. Middle school kids attend Ridgecrest Intermediate School, and like the balance of the peninsula communities, high school kids can choose between the aforementioned Palos Verdes Peninsula High School or Palos Verdes High School.
