Fall Real Estate Season and September Blog Schedule

    Fall Real Estate Season

For many, Labor Day weekend marks the beginning of school, football season, and Fiesta Hermosa. In real estate, it is the unofficial kick-off to the the fall selling season.

    Fall Season & New Listing

Contrary to popular belief, fall is one of the best seasons to sell in the South Bay. That’s right, much better than the dog days of summer in July and August and only behind the famous Spring selling season as the best seasonal time to list one’s home.

Some agents and sellers choose to bring out new listings over the holiday weekend and others choose to list the weekend after. Each strategy has its own merits, which I can get into another time.

This weekend, I have a client choosing to list his Torrance home of 30 years. The house has been kept in fabulous condition, but is ready for some TLC to get it to today’s standards. This property is perfect for a first-time home buyer all the way to an investor, as it offers a large two-story abode with 4 bedrooms, 2,174 square feet, and loads of potential.

Opportunity abounds at this listing with a below-market price of $849,000 and a blank canvas to make your own. Come check out 3708 Michelle Drive in Torrance this Sunday to consider this compelling investment.

    Wedding & September Blog Schedule

In less than two weeks, I will be marrying my beautiful fiancée Nicole in Lake Tahoe, and then we’ll be off to on our honeymoon shortly after.

As much as I love real estate, I am going to be shutting things down for much of September. However, the weekly blog will still live on!

I have prepared four posts for September that will give some insight on a few of my philosophies in real estate. By no means are these hard and fast rules (rarely anything is in real estate), but rather, these topics are things I have learned over the past 10+ years of doing real estate full time.

Wedding planning and the time leading up to the nuptials and honeymoon are crazy periods in life.  So please forgive me if these posts are not works of art or good enough to publish in a book. My goal is to try and deliver value to you each and every week, and this was the best thought I had while absent for a month.

Here are the topics you can expect in September…

    1. Depreciation is Real: Strategizing Remodels and New Construction
    2. Your Home is Not an Asset; Invest in Income Property
    3. Off-Market Deals: Are you the Sucker?
    4. Highest & Best Use: The Safest Low-Risk Leverage

I hope you all enjoy the September blogs and see you in October!

    Cheers,

    Richard
